First Independently Developed Door and Cover Intelligent Assembly and Commissioning Line in China

The BIW door and cover assembly production line is the most challenging production line for automation in automobile manufacturing. This full-process intelligent flexible automobile door and cover assembly and commissioning production line is the first independently developed line in China and is leading in mass production. It realizes a whole line production capacity of 60JPH (54 seconds) for intelligent automatic assembly of four doors and two covers. It also supports mixed and random production of 8 models on the same line. The line uses a flexible NC positioning system to seamlessly connect the positioning and grabbing of the body chassis and doors and covers of each model, and relies on machine vision technology to realize accurate grabbing, positioning, measurement and assembly. The ultra-high speed transmission technology is adopted and creates a record of conveying among 18 work items of the body in white in 4 seconds!

With 219 robots and many innovative advanced technologies such as self-developed ultra-high-speed conveying, NC flexible positioning system, high-speed trimming and machine vision, an equipment activation rate of more than 95% is achieved to practice Toyota's concept of lean production and full-platform flexible production, helping GAC Toyota become a Toyota Motor global model factory.

BIW Flexible Welding Production Line of Yichang Factory

With more than 200 robots and advanced technologies such as vision guidance, comprehensive servo positioning, flexible passive trolley, intelligent vehicle model switching device, flexible trimming and offline commissioning, highly unmanned production of the whole line is realized, where production of 5 models on the same line, with intelligent seamless switching, is made possible. The production takt is 45 seconds/set, realizing the leading takt and switching speed in China.

Flexible Intelligent Welding Production Line for Steel-aluminum Automotive Body of New Energy Vehicles

Technical guarantee is provided for the first-time adoption of aluminum body and lightweight design for independent brand new energy vehicles. In this Project, special international advanced connection technologies, such as self-pierce riveting (SPR) and flow drilling screw (FDS) flow form screw-driving, other than traditional technologies, were applied. This line supports welding, riveting, welding and automatic handling of vehicle bodies made of steel, aluminum and other metal materials. The improved flexibility enables trial production of multiple vehicle models on the same line.
